TMR,

It appears that the potion has maintained its efficacy in a higher dose. The trials on the mice, peacocks and pigs each showed similar endorphin spikes at 24 hours, 72 hours and 148 hours. There’s reason to believe the augmented endorphin spike may help inspire natural endorphin production.

Of course, that’s only half the story.  We have to get the King & Queen to rekindle their old love. And that can’t be done with just a potion. They’re going to have to be tended carefully. Emotional responses will need to be carefully crafted. You have your work cut out for you.

We’re still in the last stages of testing on the young elephants. The final information on doses, frequency, and so forth should be ready by next week. Right now, it looks like the King will need 2 ounces every 12-14 hours through the first three days and the queen will need 1.5 ounces on the same schedule.

It’s unclear if you’ll need to administer half doses beyond that initial phase. That’s being determined now with our test subjects.

That last testing phase will start tonight. We’ll give the female a half dose. The male will got none. The hope is that her continued affection will inspire natural heightened endorphin production in the male. This is where results in previous test subjects varied a great deal. We really do not know if it will work. Alas, I’m afraid we do not have time to delay any longer.

I’m sure you’ve seen the reports. Militias are quietly forming in the Queen’s native region. Her extended family have been secretly increasing grain harvests and purchases from the borderlands. According to my local sources, at least three of her cousins have converted retired barns into armories. Rifles and bayonets gleam in the rafters.

It cannot be overstated how important it is that we succeed. Civil war lurks on our very doorstep. Should we fail in our efforts to bring the King & Queen closer once more, I see no way to avoid conflict bursting in.

I await your reply on preparations at the Castle. Please use the normal channels. I’ll have an update on our progress in a few days.

Godspeed. The future is ours to form. Let us hope we are worthy of the task.
